This handcrafted Moose is created from Zebrawood, an exotic hardwood native to West and Central Africa and immediately recognizable for its dramatic alternating bands of light golden-brown and dark brown grain. The distinctive striping gives the broad silhouette natural movement and character, making Zebrawood especially well suited to this design. Rather than relying on paint, stain, engraving, or added detailing, the remarkable grain of the wood becomes part of the Moose itself. Because every board has a different grain pattern, each finished Moose has an appearance entirely its own. The moose also can be ordered in Walnut or Oak.
Each Moose is individually cut by hand on the bandsaw, shaped, sanded, and finished to showcase the natural character of the wood.
